Tourism will be held in Jaipur from 14 to 16 July
The third edition of RDTM will be the theme ‘Sustainable Tourism’
Jaipur, 30 June. Principal Secretary of, Tourism Department, Mrs. Gayatri Rathore said that road shows are being organized in different cities of the state for the successful organization of Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart.
The aim of these roadshows is to promote Rajasthan as the most favorable tourist destination at the national level. At the same time, he said that Rajasthan is the first choice of investors to invest in the tourism sector.
Mrs. Rathore presided over a meeting to review the preparations for the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart-2023 at the Secretariat on Friday. He said that the third edition of RDTM would be organized in Jaipur from 14 to 16 July. This time the theme of RDTM will be ‘Sustainable Tourism’. To make the mart successful and memorable, the tourism department has completed all its preparations. He said that in the coming years, we want to take domestic tourism to a higher level. Rajasthan has immense potential to attract investment in the development of hospitality and tourist destinations.
The Principal Government Secretary said that travel planners and tour operators from across the country would visit this mart. This Domestic Travel Mart will provide a platform to travel agents of the country including hoteliers, travel agents, and tour operators to showcase their products. He said that Rajasthan is the first choice of tourists for weddings including its wildlife, eco-rural, and pilgrimage along with its cultural and royal heritage.
Tourism Director Dr. Rashmi Sharma said that in order to promote domestic tourism, many schemes are being run by the tourism department including many innovations such as Rajasthan Rural Tourism Policy, Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy, Guest House Scheme, Modified Homestay Scheme. Dr. Sharma said that the Domestic Travel Mart is a unique initiative to provide a platform to facilitate business-to-business meetings to showcase the immense potential of tourism in the state. This mart will create awareness among potential buyers of hotels, resorts as well as specialized tour operations in various tourism aspects. He said that the state government has given the status of industry to the tourism business. Due to this tourism will get a boost in the state. This will attract investors to tourism projects. He said that this mart would provide a platform to the people associated with travel and tourism.
High officials of the tourism department along with the representative of FHTR were also present on the occasion.
