Statewide awards to recognise restaurants and culinary professionals, alongside a separate Top 100 Restaurants of Rajasthan list

The Leadership Gazette is inviting nominations for Rajasthan Culinary Icons 2027, with the awards ceremony scheduled for 1 March 2027 in Jaipur. The programme will recognise food businesses and culinary professionals across Rajasthan, with nominations closing on 5 February 2027.

The awards bring heritage dining, regional food traditions and contemporary restaurant businesses into the same conversation. Eligible participants include independent restaurants, cafés, hotel dining outlets, street food establishments, bakeries, sweets houses, cloud kitchens and catering businesses, as well as individual culinary and hospitality professionals.

For a state whose visitor experience is closely connected to its food, the programme aims to draw attention to the establishments and people giving local dining its character. Participation extends beyond Jaipur to cities and towns throughout Rajasthan, allowing neighbourhood institutions and regional specialists to put their work forward alongside larger hospitality brands.

Organisation categories include fine dining, heritage and palace dining, Rajasthani regional cuisine, hotel restaurants, street food, cafés, bakeries and sustainable dining. Individual honours include Chef of the Year – Rajasthan, Restaurateur of the Year, Emerging Chef of the Year and Lifetime Achievement in Rajasthani Cuisine.

A separate Top 100 Restaurants of Rajasthan list will recognise restaurants on their own merit, independently of the category awards. Assessment for this track considers food quality, consistency, guest experience and reputation. A restaurant does not need to win a category award to secure a place on the list, and a category award does not automatically confer Top 100 recognition.

The announced jury comprises Shri Rajit Punhani, CEO of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India; Arun Singh, hospitality educationist and consultant and past Director at FHRAI-IHM; Richa Gupta, founder of My Food Story; Dr Chef Sangeeta Dhar, Professor of Food Production at PAHER University; and Dr Rajeev Goyal, President of India Food Tourism Org.

Self-nominations and nominations submitted on behalf of eligible businesses or professionals are welcome. Applicants can review the categories and submission information at theleadershipgazette.com/rajasthan-culinary-icons/. The ceremony venue and further event arrangements will be announced through the official event channels.
