Workshop held at Zanana Mahal of City Palace Udaipur on World Statue Day

Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur organized a workshop on World Statue Day at the historic Zanana Mahal of City Palace, Udaipur. In which the students of schools and universities were made aware of various information about the ancient stone sculptures kept in the City Palace Museum.

Students studying Visual Arts at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, and students of Pacific College of Fine Arts were taken on a tour of the Sculpture Gallery of City Palace and during this, Dr. Hansmukh Seth, Curator of City Palace, gave detailed information about the stone sculptures. In the same workshop, Jaipur sculptor Deepika Ravjani taught the children of Maharana Mewar Public School the art of clay sculpture along with information about sculpture.

Dr. Mayank Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, said that International Statue Day is celebrated on the last Saturday of April. This day provides us with an important opportunity to raise awareness about sculpture and encourage artists. Which shows respect for our heritage by showcasing the importance of sculptures and their diversity.

In the World Statue Day workshop held at City Palace, Prof. of Pacific College along with the students of Mohanlal Sukhadia University of Visual Arts and Pacific College of Fine Arts. Rajesh K. Yadav joined.
