In the Name of Communism

This is one of the worst times we are living in. There is total despair and a sense of helplessness all around. Hospitals are bursting at the seams with human dead bodies. Innumerable corpses are waiting for a decent burial in cemeteries. Fate has snatched away the means of livelihood from the common citizens. With the pandemic continuing to wreak havoc in the lives of people, they are finding themselves struggling to make ends meet. Echoes of people crying with pain, grief, and anger are heard everywhere. In the midst of this anguish, there is a certain section of the human race that takes great pleasure in spreading the venom of communalism on social media.

Last year, a particular class was boycotted as a corona-spreading religion and was maligned in every region and the same is being done this year in the name of Bengal or Israel and the Philippines. In such an environment where most families all over are grieving the death of a loved one and with no hope from political parties who instead of taking stock of the situation are deliberately ignoring all these things and doing the same propaganda through their IT Cells. We want to ask if is this the right time for all these things.

Indian society should understand that the pandemic does not see caste, creed or race or religion or sect to strike but it hits anyone and everyone. All are vulnerable to it. Now is the time to use our ability to do something for our society, our state, and our country. This is no time for anything else except to help those in need in whatever we can. The zeal to fight in the name of communalism can wait or take a back seat or better still turn away from things that create animosity and hatred towards people.

The need of the hour is to show compassion and extend our hand towards all those suffering and to encourage the front liners, the corona warriors who are with no thought for their own well-being fighting with others. This is the time to unite and become the strength of the country instead of dividing the country for communalism’s sake.
