– Pollution Control Board grants concession in establishment and operational consent fees
Jodhpur, January 12:
The Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB), Jaipur Headquarters, has issued orders dated January 9, 2026, granting special relief to hotels, resorts and other service sector activities such as hospitals, marriage gardens, automobile service centres, educational institutions, etc. Under this decision, concessions have been provided in the previous period fees for Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate for new applications.
Regional Officer of the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Jodhpur (Rural), Mr. Jagdish Chaudhary, informed that as per the orders issued by the Board, all hotels, resorts and other service sector units submitting applications for Consent to Establish or Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 up to March 31, 2026, will have their applications processed without recovery of outstanding fees for the previous period.
– Concession to apply to pending cases as well; priority disposal within 60 days
The Regional Officer further stated that this facility will also be applicable to all cases whose applications are currently pending with the Board and are yet to be disposed of. All applications received under this scheme will be processed on a priority basis and disposed of within 60 days from the date of receipt.
