Minister of State for Transport Brajendra Singh Ola told in the Vidhan Sabha on Monday that 872 new permits were issued to private buses in the Bikaner division in the last two years.
The Minister of State for Transport, in a written reply to the original question of MLA Smt. Santosh during the Question Hour, said that 35 new buses were operated by the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation in the Bikaner division in the last two years and the operation of buses on 7 routes was stopped. He laid the details on the table of the House.
He said that in the budget announcement of the year 2021-22, the action related to the implementation of the announcement regarding the operation of rural transport service to connect about 6000-gram panchayats who were deprived of transport service is under process. He placed the information about its updated status on the table of the House.
Ola said that permits are issued by private bus operators as per the rules on application on approved routes for rural areas.
