Governor of Rajasthan took a virtual part

Jaipur, July 17

Governor  Kalraj Mishra virtually participated in the annual general body meeting of the Indian Red Cross Society organized under the chairmanship of President Smt. Draupadi Murmu from Raj Bhavan on Monday.

After the President’s address, the business session of the Red Cross Society was organized under the annual general meeting. Participating in it, Governor  Kalraj Mishra informed about the strengthening of Red Cross Societies in Rajasthan and the special works being done through it. He said that through the Red Cross in Rajasthan, social service work is being done continuously, not only at the time of disaster. He informed that an effective initiative has been taken to provide medical and health benefits to the needy under the Red Cross in Rajasthan.

He said that the work done by the Red Cross during the Kovid epidemic is incomparable. He said that there is a need to work at all levels for the development of the Red Cross and medical and health services, realizing that service to man is service to Narayan. Talking about the work being done to eradicate TB in Rajasthan, Governor  Mishra said that special work is being done in this context by running the Nikshay Mitra Yojana campaign in the state. He said that the Red Cross Societies in Rajasthan have been effectively reorganized at the district level.

Efforts are being made that in backward and tribal areas T.B. Health and family welfare services should be further improved with eradication. The annual general body meeting of the Red Cross Society was addressed by the governors of various states of the country and the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya. Principal Secretary to Governor  Subir Kumar also participated in the meeting.
