Senior citizens of the state will visit Pashupatinath Temple Kathmandu from July 28 – Senior citizens will reach by air under the pilgrimage scheme

Jaipur, 26 July. Devasthan Department Minister Smt. Shakuntala Rawat said that under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme, senior citizens of the state will be taken on a journey by the state government to visit the Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Air travel under the scheme will start from July 28. He informed that for the year 2023-24, 4 thousand pilgrims will be taken on a pilgrimage to Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu, Nepal.

He told that this air travel will be done by the state government through IRCTC. He said that this yatra would start on July 28 and would continue till September 2 and more than 100 senior citizens would go on this yatra every day.

He said that on July 28, 100 passengers from  Ganganagar district, 107 passengers from Hanumangarh district on July 29, 97 passengers from Dausa district on July 30, 109 senior citizen passengers from Sikar district on July 31 would go to Kathmandu for Pashupatinath Temple Darshan Yatra. He said that all these passengers will have to give their presence one day before the date of journey at 3 pm at Baldev Parshuram Dharamshala, Amer Road Jaipur in front of Jal Mahal. It will be mandatory for these passengers to keep their original voter ID card and original Aadhaar card with them.

He said that under Rail Yatra, 4113 senior citizens have been made to travel by 5 trains so far in this year 2023-24. In this, 1785 passengers have traveled to Rameswaram, 800 passengers to Gangasagar (Kolkata), 750 passengers to Dwarka Somnath and 778 passengers to Jagannathpuri.

He told that on July 28 there will be a Jodhpur to Rameswaram rail journey, in which 800 senior citizens of Barmer and Pali will travel. Similarly, on August 6, a train is being sent from Jodhpur to Vaishnadevi and Amritsar, in which 800 passengers from Udaipur, Rajsamand, Dungarpur, Banswara, Jodhpur, Pali, Barmer, Jalore, Sirohi, Jaisalmer, Nagaur, Sikar, Bikaner, Churu, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh will travel to Vaishno Devi and Amritsar.

He said that under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme, the state government has so far taken more than 1 lakh 21 thousand pilgrims to pilgrimage sites in the country and abroad.
