Chef Bhanwar Singh, EXECUTIVE CHEF

CHEF Bhanwar Singh is the Executive chef at Cheetahgarh Resort & Spa, Bera, a member of ITC’s Hotel Group in Jodhpur. It may be an elegant setting but Bhanwar Singh’s menu is “down to earth” with simple, honest cooking. He believes; that something that creates a memory, which in turn stirs an emotion, a feeling of happiness, contentment, or joy is the secrete behind my success.   Our Teamchat to him about revamping his Signature dish, the challenges he faced during his career, and how he overpass his childhood passion for a profession.

  1. Where are you originally from?

Answer: I am from Jodhpur Rajasthan.

2. What was your childhood or earliest ambition?

Answer: I wanted to be an owner of a multi-cuisine restaurant, and a celebrity chef.

3. How long have you been a chef?

Answer: It has been 20 years.

4. Where did you train to be a chef?

Answer: I started with the TAJ group of hotels, followed by many more brand hotel chains, and mastered my knowledge.

5. Why do you enjoy being a chef?

Answer: I love my job since it is my passion since my childhood, I was very inspired by my mother and how she cooks and creates magic in each and every food she serves.

6. What is your guilty food pleasure?

Answer: There are so many in my list, but the best guilty food pleasure is a chocolate brownie with ice cream.

7. In what place are you at your happiest?

Answer: NO doubt the place where I am the happiest is my workplace, my kitchen with my team, with each and every new situation to handle.

8. Describe your food style in five words?

Answer: Hygiene, presentation, taste, aroma, and satisfaction.

9. What dishes can guests expect to find?

Answer: Guests can have Rajasthani cuisine food including Paneer papadwala, Mutton laal maas, and many more.

10. What’s your signature dish?

Answer: My signature dish is Jodhpuri Laal maas.

11. What are your favorite ingredients to work with? why?

Answer: My favorite ingredients are different whole spices, curd  & ghee because all these things mentioned together give magic to the food and take the experience to the next level

12. What is your ambition?

Answer: To set up a good restaurant and serve the best food quality by taste, texture & presentation.

13. Do you have any personal ambition?

Answer: Whatever I have learned throughout my life and in my career to pass it to the coming generation and to the new bees in the same generation.

14. What has been the most memorable part of your career so far?Answer: When I served many celebrities especially Mr. Dharmendra Ji and his appreciation gave me a good vibe to grow more and work more on my skills.
