The results of the poster competition ‘Khana Khazana – My Food Heritage’ declared

The results of the poster competition ‘Khana Khazana – My Food Heritage’, organized under the joint auspices of the Heritage Education and Communication Department of Indian Cultural Fund ‘INTACH’ and INTACH Jodhpur Chapter, have been declared.

Jodhpur. Under the joint auspices of Heritage Education and Communication Services and Jodhpur Chapter of Indian Cultural Fund ‘INTACH’, traditional food, its ancient history and different types of cuisines of different states and the history of food heritage and their relations in the children of classes 7 to 9 schools With the aim of increasing interest and knowledge about popular stories, etc., the results of the poster competition “Khana Khazana-My Food Heritage” have been declared. In which Srishti Hiranandani, a class 9 student of Delhi Public School, was declared the national winner. She stood 7th among 15 students selected all over India. Similarly, Abhinav Das of Delhi Public School was declared the regional winner of Jodhpur. He was ranked 51st out of 100 regional winners announced across India.

INTACH Jodhpur Chapter’s coordinator Dr. Mahendrasinh Tanwar said that on February 14, 2023, the “Khana Khazana-My Food Heritage” poster competition (painting and essay) was organized at Konark Senior Secondary School, Kamla Nehru Nagar, Pratap Nagar. Students from class 7 to class 9 from the schools of Jodhpur City participated in the competition. Children presenting their talent in poster and painting competitions, our Marwar’s famous dishes Dal-Bati Churma, Kadi-Sogra with traditional view of the village, Mawa’s Kachori, traditional food Ker-Sangri, Panchkuta, Kumtiya, Amchoor, Onion Ki Kachori, Chai-Samosa, Jodhpur’s famous Mirchi Bada and traditional Indian dishes like Pav-Bhaji, Idli Sambhar, Various types of sweets, traditional utensils as well as various food items of South India were engraved through pictures and wrote the method, history and culture of these dishes in essay form through words.

Srishti Hiranandani, a class 9 student of Delhi Public School, Jodhpur, has been selected among the 15 national winners from India and stood 7th in the results announced by the Delhi Headquarters. Srishti was declared the national winner for the essay written in English language and the poster made on the topic “A Punch Provided by Panchkuta”, the traditional food of Rajasthan. Panchkuta is one of the famous traditional food of Marwar.

Similarly, Abhinav Das, a class 9 student of Delhi Public School, Jodhpur was declared the regional winner. Jodhpur has been made proud by being ranked 51st among 100 regional winners of this competition organized across India. The poster made on the topic “Crispy, Crunchy Mawa Kachori” and the essay written in the English language were declared regional winners. Mawa Kachori is a famous dessert of Jodhpur. A total of nine thousand students participated in this competition organized all over India. Trophies and certificates will be awarded to the national and regional winners by INTACH Headquarters, Delhi, while certificates will be awarded to all the participating participants.

He told that in this competition he told that students of Mayur Chowpasni School, Delhi Public School, Konark Senior Secondary School and Central Academy Kudi participated on this occasion.
