Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Inaugurates Saras Rajasakhi National Fair

Jaipur, December 18:
Chief Minister  Bhajanlal Sharma inaugurated the Saras Rajasakhi National Fair at Jawahar Kala Kendra on Thursday. During the event, he visited various stalls set up by women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from across the country and the state, gathered information about their products, and praised their skills and craftsmanship.

On this occasion,  Sharma interacted warmly with Lakhpati Didis and women associated with Self-Help Groups. He said that women are becoming empowered through SHGs, which is strengthening the rural economy. Along with managing their households, they are also playing a significant role in the nation’s economy.

The Chief Minister stated that the Saras Fair stands as proof that when sound policies, a strong institutional framework, and effective implementation come together, sustainable and inclusive transformation in the lives of rural women becomes possible. He added that the fair also symbolizes the resolve of Atmanirbhar Rajasthan–Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Notably, the Saras Rajasakhi National Fair, which will continue until January 4, showcases the rich traditions, crafts, and art forms of rural India. The fair features around 300 stalls from 24 states, including Rajasthan, displaying and selling rural traditions, folk art, folk crafts, textile traditions, handloom, and handicraft products from different parts of the country.

Chief Secretary  V. Srinivas, Additional Chief Secretary (Rural Development) Smt. Shreya Guha, State Mission Director for Livelihood Projects and Self-Help Groups Smt. Neha Giri, along with a large number of citizens, were present on the occasion.
