Jaipur, December 26
Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Friday released the poster of the International Camel Festival, which will be held in Bikaner from January 9 to 11. On the occasion, he said that Bikaner holds immense potential for tourism development and attracts a large number of domestic and international tourists every year. He also highlighted the importance of the region’s rich traditions and customs, adding that the Camel Festival has given Bikaner a distinct identity.
Shekhawat directed officials to organise the festival on a grand scale. Present on the occasion were Smt. Suman Chhajed, Joint Director of the Tourism Department Anil Rathore, and Assistant Director Mahesh Vyas. The officials briefed the Union Minister with a minute-by-minute overview of the three-day festival programme and sought his guidance and directions to ensure the successful conduct of the event.
