West Bengal Foundation Day celebrated at Raj Bhawan

Jaipur, 20 June. Governor Kalraj Mishra interacted with people of West Bengal origin at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday on the occasion of West Bengal State Foundation Day.

While congratulating West Bengal State Foundation Day, Governor Mishra said that West Bengal is a culturally very rich state. He said that Bengal has a special place in the fields of literature, art, music, craft, etc. He said that Bengal is the land of intellectuals and revolutionaries, which has given the country great personalities like Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Remembering Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Governor Mishra said that West Bengal is a part of India today, so his contribution is important in this.

The Governor said that while realizing Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat, the native residents of West Bengal, who are harmonizing with the culture of Rajasthan, are contributing to the progress of the place, which is commendable. He also apprised the present people about various aspects related to the culture of the Constitution. The Governor got acquainted with the people present from West Bengal and also inquired about them.

Principal Secretary to Governor Subir Kumar threw light on the culture of West Bengal and the background of the Foundation Day celebration. People of West Bengal origin present in the program also presented a song related to Bengali culture.

On this occasion, GovindramJaiswal, Chief Officer to the Governor, a native of West Bengal residing in Rajasthan was present.
