“There is no shortage in the maintenance of Sojat fort” – Archeology Minister

Art, Literature, Culture, and Archeology Minister Dr. Bulaki Das Kalla said in the Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday that Sojat fort was inspected by a team from Jodhpur. On the basis of this inspection, he assured that there is no deficiency in the maintenance of the Sojat fort and that the security system of the fort is tight.

Dr. Kalla was replying to a supplementary question in this regard raised by a member during Question Hour. Earlier, in a written reply to the original question of MLA Mrs. Shobha Chauhan, he told that the Sojat fort in Sojat district Pali is a monument declared protected by the Archaeological and Museum Department.

He said that on the basis of budget availability and work priority in the Department of Archeology and Museums, wise decisions are taken and monuments are selected for conservation and renovation work. Dr. Kalla also told that security personnel/home guards have been appointed for the protection and security arrangements of Sojat fort, a protected monument under the department.
