Review meeting of Transport and Road Safety Department, make transport better for the common people – Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand

Deputy Chief Minister and Transport and Road Safety Minister Dr.Premchand Bairwa said that officials should work towards implementing a 100-day action plan to provide better transportation facilities to the common people.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Bairwa was presiding over a high-level meeting organized with the officials of the Transport Department and Rajasthan Roadways at the Government Secretariat here on Monday.

Under the 100-day action plan of Transport and Roadways, the Deputy Chief Minister said that along with making the vehicle fitness process effective, making pollution checking centers more transparent, making women self-reliant by training them to drive commercial vehicles, the departmental structure, major functions, revenue, etc. Did a detailed review of the subjects related to acquisition, rules, and acts.

Transport Commissioner Dr. Manisha Arora gave a presentation on innovations being made by the Transport Department to reduce road accidents along with vehicle registration, licensing process, and pollution control. In the meeting, the Managing Director of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, Nathmal Didel informed the Deputy Chief Minister about the financial requirement for an increase of buses in the corporation, the condition of vehicles, concessions being given to various categories of roadways buses, monthly income expenditure details, operating costs. . On this occasion, Additional Transport Commissioner (Vigilance) Mrs. Ranjita Gautam, Additional Transport Commissioner Manna Lal, Executive Director of Roadways (Administration and Traffic) Mrs. Anita Meena, and high-level officials of Transport and Roadways were present.
