Udaipur, December 28

Students of Maharana Mewar Public School, Udaipur, were honoured by Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, Chairman and Managing Trustee of the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, for their outstanding achievements in the field of innovation and environmental sustainability. Present on the occasion were the Foundation’s CEO Dr. Mayank Gupta, Honorary Director of Maharana Mewar Public School Mr. S. K. Sharma, and Principal Dr. Rakhi Trivedi.

The school gained national recognition at the JKLU ‘My City My Lab’ Ideathon 2025 competition, held in Jaipur from December 19 to 21, where the team ‘Trash to Treasure’—comprising Kribhyav Singh Bhadauria, Chahat Balchandani, Ishvi Chittora, Sarthak Vaishnav, and Niharika Soni (Class X)—won first prize for their project on fully compostable sanitary napkins. Under the guidance of Dr. Kusum Lata Soni (TGT Science), the team received a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, along with a winner’s trophy and certificates.

Competing against 250 teams from across India, the MMPS team impressed the judges with its innovative and practical approach to a sustainable hygiene solution. Securing first place among the final 11 teams, the students brought laurels to the school at the national level.

Congratulating the school fraternity and the young innovators on this national achievement, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar said that such accomplishments inspire other students to embrace creative thinking, sustained effort, and awareness towards innovation when guided in the right direction.
