Kota to Showcase Hadoti’s Tourism Potential on the Global Stage

Jaipur, December 29

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan is steadily moving towards becoming a global tourism leader. This year, Rajasthan has ranked among the top five states in India in terms of tourist arrivals and is now advancing towards decentralized tourism development.

As an important initiative to implement the state government’s budget announcement on decentralized tourism development, the Kota–Hadoti Travel Mart will be organized from January 2 to 4, 2026. The three-day Travel Mart will be inaugurated at the Chambal River Front, Kota, while the remaining programs will be held at Art Hill City Park.

Under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, this Travel Mart is expected to prove a milestone in firmly establishing the historical, natural, and cultural heritage of the Hadoti region on the national and international tourism map. The Kota–Hadoti Travel Mart aims to bring Hadoti’s tourism potential to the globaL.

According to Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Praveen Gupta, the first-ever Travel Mart in Kota is being organized as part of the strategy to expand tourism activities and develop other regions of the state as new tourism hubs. He stated that the objective is to provide a platform to regions of Rajasthan that are rich in tourism potential but have not yet received adequate promotion.

Tourism Commissioner Ms. Rukmani Riar said that the Hadoti region—Kota, Bundi, Baran, and Jhalawar—offers a unique blend of historical heritage, formidable forts, religious sites, wildlife sanctuaries, and natural beauty. The Chambal River, Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve, historic forts such as Gagron and Bundi, along with waterfalls, valleys, and religious destinations, make the region a complete tourism destination. Through the Travel Mart, these attractions will be presented as organized and professional tourism products.

She further informed that selected tour operators, travel agencies, and tourism stakeholders from across the country will participate in the Kota–Hadoti Travel Mart. They will be given first-hand experience of the region’s major and relatively unexplored tourist sites, helping establish Hadoti as an attractive and viable tourism destination. Special focus will be placed on developing integrated 3- to 5-day tourism itineraries to increase tourists’ length of stay in the region.

The Tourism Commissioner stated that the Travel Mart will directly benefit local tourism, employment, and the hospitality sector. New opportunities will be created for hotels, transport services, handicrafts, local guides, and allied services. The event will also serve as a concrete step towards linking the Hadoti region with the Delhi–Agra–Jaipur tourism circuit, thereby increasing the inflow of domestic and international tourists.

She also informed that a special documentary based on the tourism destinations of the Hadoti region has been prepared, effectively showcasing the region’s tourism diversity, natural beauty, and experiential travel offerings. This documentary will be screened during the Travel Mart and will also be used for future promotional activities.

According to the Tourism Department, the Kota–Hadoti Travel Mart will not only position Hadoti among Rajasthan’s emerging tourism hubs but will also prove to be a significant step towards balanced and inclusive tourism development in the state.
