Jodhpur to Get a New Dimension in Night Tourism; Major Sites to Remain Open Till Midnight Until January 5

Meeting held under the guidance of City MLA Shri Atul Bhansali
District Collector issues directions for coordinated arrangements

Jodhpur, December 22:
With the objective of giving a new direction to tourism in Jodhpur, an important meeting was held on Monday under the guidance of City MLA Shri Atul Bhansali and chaired by District Collector Shri Gaurav Agrawal.

Major tourist sites to remain open till 12:30 a.m. from December 22 to January 5
During the meeting, District Collector Shri Gaurav Agrawal informed that from December 22 to January 5, 2026, major tourist locations in the city will remain open for the general public and tourists until 12:30 a.m. These include Ghanta Ghar and Gulabsagar (inner city area), Jalori Gate, Jaljog, Children’s Park on Sardarpura B Road, Shastri Circle, and Ratanada Bhaskar Circle Road.

Night tourism initiative to be implemented in two phases
Shri Agrawal stated that this innovative night tourism initiative will be implemented in phases. In the first phase, from December 22 to 24, Ghanta Ghar and Gulabsagar (inner city area), Children’s Park on Sardarpura B Road, and Shastri Circle will remain open until 12:30 a.m.

Instructions for cleanliness, lighting, security, and cultural activities
The District Collector directed the Municipal Corporation to ensure cleanliness, the JDA to make lighting arrangements, the Tourism Department to deploy Guide Mitras, the Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademi to organize cultural programmes, and the Police Department to ensure proper security arrangements.

He instructed all concerned departments to work in coordination to remove encroachments, maintain cleanliness, ensure security, and provide better facilities for tourists. He also emphasized installing information boards and directional signage at major locations to make arrangements more convenient for tourists and the general public.

Call for coordinated efforts to build a positive image of the city
City MLA Shri Atul Bhansali appealed to all concerned departments to work with full commitment through coordinated efforts in cleanliness, security, lighting, and cultural presentations, so that an attractive and safe image of Jodhpur is presented to visiting tourists.

Senior administrative and police officials present
Senior officials from the administration and police, including Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shri Siddharth Palanichamy, were present at the meeting.
