Jaipur, 23 July. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday presented gifts of development works worth Rs 139 crore to the residents of Jodhpur. Gehlot inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 308 development works of Sardarpura, Sursagar, Jodhpur city, and Luni assembly constituencies through video conferencing from the Chief Minister’s residence. Along with this, Jodhpur Development Authority also released the application booklet of Lok Kala Nagar Residential Scheme, Chaukha, to make the dreams of housing of folk artists come true.
Gehlot said at the function that the state government is determined for multidimensional development in every district of the state. Health, education and basic infrastructure are being expanded strongly in Jodhpur with smooth, safe roads. This city has developed rapidly in every aspect, due to which this city has become a leading and unique identity in the country. Jodhpur is the only district in the country where all kinds of world class institutions operate together. Here are all the major institutions including AIIMS, Rajiv Gandhi Fintech Digital, Ayurveda, Law and Police University. The Chief Minister said that public welfare development works have been done in Jodhpur in the last 4 years. There will be no shortage in the future also. All-round development of every area will be ensured on the recommendation of the local people. He said that the people of Jodhpur should be proud of the development of Jodhpur in the fields of water, electricity, education, agriculture, and health.
Gehlot instructed the officers of the district administration to ensure quality and timeliness in the development works and to keep regular monitoring. He clearly said that no compromise with quality will be tolerated in any work. On the announcement of new districts, the Chief Minister said that the smaller the districts, the more administrative and development work will be done there.
Better development work than before
The Chief Minister said that 59 primary schools, 75 Mahatma Gandhi Government English medium schools, 8 colleges, and 2 universities have been opened in Jodhpur in the last 4 years. Along with this, 163 primary schools have been upgraded to upper primary and 321 secondary schools to higher secondary. Here 32 AYUSH health wellness centers, 5 block AYUSH hospitals, 99 sub-centers, 2 sub-district hospitals, 5 district hospitals, and 2 satellite hospitals have been opened. Also, many PHCs have been upgraded to CHCs. Regional cancer institutes and dental colleges have also been opened in medical education. 250 MBBS seats have been increased. Similarly, Rs 1894 crore has been spent on social security to provide support to the needy. 289 plots have been allotted with the opening of seven industrial areas. New Ved Vidyalaya, Marwar Medical University, and Mahatma Gandhi Divyang University in Jodhpur have been announced in this budget.
Relief from Chiranjeevi Yojana and Inflation Relief Camp
Gehlot said that under the Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, free treatment of Rs 25 lakh and an organ transplant facility is being provided outside the state as well. This scheme has proved to be a lifeline for the people of the state. At the same time, taking admission of more than 3 lakh children in Mahatma Gandhi Government English medium schools creates a happy picture of a bright future. Along with this, 1.93 crore families are getting 100 units of free domestic electricity, 2000 units of free agricultural electricity, and accident insurance of Rs 10 lakh under other schemes by registering in inflation relief camps. He said that Annapurna food packets and smartphone distribution to women would start in August.
Common people expressed gratitude, Chief Minister announced
In the function, the people of Jodhpur thanked the Chief Minister for the work done in various fields and for forming the Rajasthan State Shraman Sanskriti Board. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the Chief Minister. On the demand of the local people, the Chief Minister also announced to upgrade the PHC being built in Mahamandir to CHC. Also assured to get other works done on priority basis.
