Firoz Khan came for training on the fourth day of the workshop on stage background organized by Rajasthan Sangeet Natak Akademi at Jawahar Kala Kendra.

Academy President Binaka Jesh told that as per the vision of Minister of State and Senior Theater Mr. Ramesh Borana, three trainers were called. Kerala-born Feroze Khan is a graduate of Design and Direction from the National School of Drama, New Delhi. A postgraduate from the School of Drama, Thrissur, Firoz has worked with many renowned directors in India and Internationally on Direction and Color Technique. His major directorial ventures include employment in textile design, scenography, video art installation, stage management, technical direction, project management, theater production, and pedagogy.

Firoz is a nationally recognized theater director, puppeteer, India’s renowned scriptwriter, theater in education expert, digital artist, amateur actor, magician, author, musician, and visual artist.

Today Feroze Khan explained in detail about stage design from various aspects of stagecraft. While discussing the basic elements of design, he told about the color technique and aesthetic sense while preparing the set on the stage. How should he use light and property according to the artist and the scene? Explained the interrelationship of size, color, and form of articles in their location determination. Making different shapes and also explaining the practical side of their use. Told about maintaining the rhythm while maintaining balance in it. The psychology of any set of shapes and forms and the effect it has on the audience was also explained. The importance of a better proportion in stage design was also explained. Discussed the technique of division of space. He said that the anatomy of the human body and thinking is the same.
