National Science Center and Digital Planetarium to be built in Kota

Jaipur, 21 June. National Science Center and Digital Planetarium will be established in Kota’s Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. With this, students and common people will understand the role of science in daily life and the secrets of astronomical events through attractive models and experiments.

Chief Minister  Ashok Gehlot has given financial approval to the proposal of Rs 7.40 crore for the establishment of the center. Fun science and thematic galleries will be built in the center to explain the difficult principles of science easily. Outdoor and indoor models will be established and information about Indian scientists will be available.

A state-of-the-art digital planetarium with an audience capacity of 80 to 85 will be built here. In this, information about various astronomical planets will be available. Various competitions will also be organized to increase interest in science among students. An auditorium will also be built, which will have 3-D shows.

The establishment of the center is being done with the technical support of the National Council of Science Museums under the Ministry of Culture. 12.67 crore rupees have been transferred to the council in March 2023 by the state government regarding the establishment.

It is notable that the Chief Minister had announced the establishment of the National Science Center in the budget for the year 2023-24.
